Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), electricity generation company using solar energy, has launched the second issue of its free magazine, NRG, aimed at the general public and especially at pupils of secondary education. Published by the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility department, it is a free and innovative tool created to support teachers in their talks on the environment and educate young people in the efficient use of energy. Created in 2009, NRG is sent to more than 250 secondary schools and vocational education centres in Spain.

Aimed at “teaching how to teach”, it is a simple and approachable magazine the helps young people to identify different ways of understanding the environment that surrounds them and help them to build a cleaner and more efficient world, without having to make major changes in their daily routine. The second issue of the informative magazine includes tricks to care for the environment by saving in heating, curious facts about the history of coal, keys for recycling and details to help understand how a solar farm works.

“Great journeys are made by taking many small steps, so at FRV we want to be proactive, by helping educators with our small contribution, NRG, to teaching young people to understand and take care of the environment, by arousing pupils’ curiosity, with contents suited to their interest that encourage them to build a better world”, says Borja Guinea, managing director of FRV. Schools wishing to receive NRG free of charge can request copies directly from info@frv.com.
