{"id":14496,"date":"2020-10-13T11:14:03","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T09:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frv.com\/?p=14496"},"modified":"2021-02-04T18:33:14","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T17:33:14","slug":"frv-firma-un-acuerdo-de-green-finance-para-la-planta-solar-de-sebastopol-en-nueva-gales-del-sur-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frv.com\/en\/frv-firma-un-acuerdo-de-green-finance-para-la-planta-solar-de-sebastopol-en-nueva-gales-del-sur-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"FRV secures Green Finance for Sebastopol Solar Farm, NSW, Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>90 MWac Sebastopol Solar Farm will produce enough clean energy to supply more than 40,000 homes and avoid the emission of approximately 77,600 tons of CO<sub>2<\/sub> annually, equivalent to taking 27,700 cars off the road each year<\/li>\n<li>FRV signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project with Snowy Hydro earlier this year<\/li>\n<li>This is the first Green Finance for FRV in Australia and among one of the first renewable energy project financing of this type in the country<\/li>\n<li>This project is FRV\u2019s seventh solar farm in Australia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (<a href=\"https:\/\/frv.com\/\">FRV<\/a>), part of <a href=\"http:\/\/alj.com\/energy\">Abdul Latif Jameel Energy<\/a> and a leading global developer of renewable energy projects, closed the financing agreement for the 90 MWac <a href=\"http:\/\/sebastopolsolarfarm.com\/\">Sebastopol Solar Farm<\/a> &#8211; its third major project in New South Wales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funding is entirely provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.com\/Home.htm\">ING<\/a> in the form of a Green Finance compliant with the Loan Market Association (LMA) Green Loan Principles and the Green Projects requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FRV signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snowyhydro.com.au\/\">Snowy Hydro<\/a> in March 2020.\u00a0 In August FRV successfully completed the construction of the 69.75 MWac New South Wales <a href=\"http:\/\/goonumblasolarfarm.com\/\">Goonumbla Solar Farm<\/a>, which also has a PPA awarded to FRV as part of the Snowy Hydro Renewable Energy Procurement Program in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Located 16 km south of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnsw.com\/destinations\/country-nsw\/riverina\/temora\">Temora<\/a>, approximately 440 km south-west of Sydney, New South Wales, the plant will connect to the national grid and generate enough power to supply over 40,000 Australian households and avoid the emission of approximately 77,600 tons of CO<sub>2<\/sub> annually.\u00a0 This is the equivalent of removing some 27,700 cars from the roads each year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sebastopol Solar Farm will contribute to the economic development of the local area. \u00a0FRV anticipate the creation of up to 150 jobs during the construction phase, and 2-3 operational staff for the life of the project.\u00a0 Site maintenance contracts will also be required and will be met by local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FRV has developed and secured PPA for a total of seven solar projects in Australia, operating and committed with an accumulated investment of over US$ 700 million since 2012: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royallasolarfarm.com.au\/\">Royalla<\/a> (20 MWac) in the Australian Capital Territory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claresolarfarm.com.au\/\">Clare<\/a> (100 MWac) and <a href=\"http:\/\/lilyvalesolarfarm.com.au\/\">Lilyvale<\/a> (100 MWac) in Queensland, <a href=\"http:\/\/moreesolarfarm.com.au\/\">Moree<\/a> (56 MWac), <a href=\"http:\/\/goonumblasolarfarm.com\/\">Goonumbla <\/a>(69.75 MWac) and <a href=\"http:\/\/sebastopolsolarfarm.com\/\">Sebastopol<\/a> (90 MWac) in New South Wales and <a href=\"http:\/\/wintonsolarfarm.com\/\">Winton<\/a> (85 MWac) in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/au.linkedin.com\/in\/carlofrigerio\">Carlo Frigerio<\/a>, Managing Director of FRV in Australia, said: <em>&#8220;This is our second financial close this year following Winton solar Farm in Victoria and I am delighted to see another FRV project starting construction in New South Wales after our successful delivery of the Goonumbla Solar Farm few months ago\u201d. \u00a0<\/em>Mr Frigerio also added <em>&#8220;We are also very glad to receive funding for the Project from ING in the form of a Green Finance confirming FRV\u2019s commitment to support environmentally sustainable economic activity in the regions where we operate&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alj.com\/en\/our-people\/fady-jameel\/\">Fady Jameel<\/a>, Deputy President and Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, said: <em>\u201cThrough FRV, our flagship renewables business, Abdul Latif Jameel Energy furthers its commitment to delivering clean energy solutions in key global markets. \u00a0We are grateful for our partnership with ING, securing a groundbreaking Green Finance for the Sebastopol Solar Farm. 27,700 cars off the road each year<\/li>\n<li>FRV signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project with Snowy Hydro earlier this year<\/li>\n<li>This is the first Green Finance for FRV in Australia and among one of the first renewable energy project financing of this type in the country<\/li>\n<li>This project is FRV\u2019s seventh solar farm in Australia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (<a href=\"https:\/\/frv.com\/\">FRV<\/a>), part of <a href=\"http:\/\/alj.com\/energy\">Abdul Latif Jameel Energy<\/a> and a leading global developer of renewable energy projects, closed the financing agreement for the 90 MWac <a href=\"http:\/\/sebastopolsolarfarm.com\/\">Sebastopol Solar Farm<\/a> &#8211; its third major project in New South Wales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funding is entirely provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ing.com\/Home.htm\">ING<\/a> in the form of a Green Finance compliant with the Loan Market Association (LMA) Green Loan Principles and the Green Projects requirements.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FRV signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snowyhydro.com.au\/\">Snowy Hydro<\/a> in March 2020.\u00a0 In August FRV successfully completed the construction of the 69.75 MWac New South Wales <a href=\"http:\/\/goonumblasolarfarm.com\/\">Goonumbla Solar Farm<\/a>, which also has a PPA awarded to FRV as part of the Snowy Hydro Renewable Energy Procurement Program in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Located 16 km south of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitnsw.com\/destinations\/country-nsw\/riverina\/temora\">Temora<\/a>, approximately 440 km south-west of Sydney, New South Wales, the plant will connect to the national grid and generate enough power to supply over 40,000 Australian households and avoid the emission of approximately 77,600 tons of CO<sub>2<\/sub> annually.\u00a0 This is the equivalent of removing some 27,700 cars from the roads each year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sebastopol Solar Farm will contribute to the economic development of the local area. \u00a0FRV anticipate the creation of up to 150 jobs during the construction phase, and 2-3 operational staff for the life of the project.\u00a0 Site maintenance contracts will also be required and will be met by local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>FRV has developed and secured PPA for a total of seven solar projects in Australia, operating and committed with an accumulated investment of over US$ 700 million since 2012: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.royallasolarfarm.com.au\/\">Royalla<\/a> (20 MWac) in the Australian Capital Territory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.claresolarfarm.com.au\/\">Clare<\/a> (100 MWac) and <a href=\"http:\/\/lilyvalesolarfarm.com.au\/\">Lilyvale<\/a> (100 MWac) in Queensland, <a href=\"http:\/\/moreesolarfarm.com.au\/\">Moree<\/a> (56 MWac), <a href=\"http:\/\/goonumblasolarfarm.com\/\">Goonumbla <\/a>(69.75 MWac) and <a href=\"http:\/\/sebastopolsolarfarm.com\/\">Sebastopol<\/a> (90 MWac) in New South Wales and <a href=\"http:\/\/wintonsolarfarm.com\/\">Winton<\/a> (85 MWac) in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/au.linkedin.com\/in\/carlofrigerio\">Carlo Frigerio<\/a>, Managing Director of FRV in Australia, said: <em>&#8220;This is our second financial close this year following Winton solar
